Dr. Rachel Guthrie

BSc (Psych)(Hons), M.Psychol (Clinical)(Hons) PhD

Rachel is a clinical psychologist who has more than 25 years experience in the psychological treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. She has a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of New South Wales in the area of post-traumatic
stress disorder. She has worked in clinical psychology research, is a published author in peer reviewed journals and has presented at both local and international conferences. She has also won a number of awards including an Australian Postgraduate Award and an APS Award for Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology.

Rachel treats anxiety disorders (panic disorder and agoraphobia, social phobia, generalised anxiety disorder), mood disorders, OCD and PTSD. She employs Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as a therapy of choice for anxiety, depression, PTSD and OCD as it currently has the most robust evidence-base. She incorporates DBT and mindfulness components into treatment when indicated.

Sally Neary

Sally Neary is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. She has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales.

Sally has worked in clinical psychology research in hospital and university settings and is a published author in peer-reviewed journals. She has assessed and treated children and adolescents with learning disabilities, anxiety and mood disorders both in hospitals and universities.

Sally is also a Psychology Board of Australia approved Supervisor.

Currently working in private practice, Sally treats anxiety disorders (panic disorder and agoraphobia, social phobia, generalised anxiety disorder), mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Brian O’Grady

Brian O’Grady is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience in treating psychological problems, particularly anxiety disorders. Brian has worked in a number of public mental health and university services where he developed expertise in working with anxiety in the context of various types of mental health issues, including psychosis. He is a co-founder of the Anxiety Practitioners Network, a non-profit organisation promoting networking and education among professionals who work with anxiety disorders. Brian is also a Psychology Board of Australia approved Supervisor. Brian is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and is a past executive member of the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. He has worked in a variety of settings, including community health, tertiary education, hospitals, and private practice.

Brian has experience working with all types of anxiety, but he has a particular interest in working with adults and young adults who experience problems such as intrusive obsessions and/or compulsions, chronic worry, panic attacks, social anxiety and the full range of emotional problems that often accompany all of these.
